Abstract

The article focuses on the importance of developing emotional intelligence in high school students. In this regard, it underscores the need for teachers to concentrate on the development of
emotional skills in students, as this can enhance their academic performance and emotional wellbeing. It also provides a review of the literature on emotional intelligence and its relation ship to learning, as well as a description of strategies that teachers can use to promote the development of emotional intelligence in the classroom. Additionally, it highlights the importance of teacher training on this subject and suggests its inclusion in initial and ongoing training programs.
