The objective of this paper is to expose the approaches considered most relevant in the study of leadership, with special emphasis on educational (school) leadership, for which it was necessary to carry out a documentary compilation of the leadership theories that have had the greatest strength in recent decades, particularly those related to leadership styles; transformational, distributed and resilient in the educational context. From this perspective, reference is made to the importance of educational leadership, based on some elements that are considered key to the behavior and managerial praxis of both directors and teachers of educational institutions. The qualitative methodology was used, with a descriptive and interpretive approach, using the structured structured interview as the data collection instrument. The results indicate that teachers should incorporate distributed and resilient leadership styles in their daily praxis as a guarantee of educational leadership efficiency.
