Guidelines for Authors

The researcher must submit their article through the selected platform to ensure an electronic record that allows auditing interactions between the publication and the authors. Once this submission is done, the editorial board reviews the manuscripts to ensure they meet the publication's objectives and scope according to the established standards.

If the article passes this initial review, it proceeds to the editorial process of Redip under a double-blind evaluation, where both the authors' and reviewers' identities remain unknown to each other, ensuring transparency, objectivity, and impartiality. Reviewers consider the Requirements and Evaluation Criteria established by the Scientific Committee and External Reviewers of Redip.

Open Access License

REDIP takes pride in employing a Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License for all articles published on its platform. This strategic decision is based on the journal's firm commitment to promoting open access and the dissemination of scientific knowledge. By adopting this license, Redip allows users to access, use, share, and redistribute the content freely, as long as proper credit is given to the original author and it is not used for commercial purposes.

Choosing the Creative Commons 4.0 License has significant benefits for the academic and scientific community. Firstly, by allowing non-commercial use of the articles, Redip facilitates free access to information, fostering equity and the democratization of knowledge. This is especially valuable for researchers, educators, students, and the general public who can benefit from research advancements without economic barriers or access restrictions.

Furthermore, the Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License supports the spirit of collaboration and cooperation among researchers. By encouraging "share alike," it promotes the creation of derivative works and the generation of new knowledge from articles published in Redip. This feedback and mutual enrichment are essential for the progress of science and pedagogical development.

It is important to note that although Redip employs the Creative Commons 4.0 License, the journal retains the copyright of the published articles. This ensures that authors continue to be recognized as the original creators of their works and that their moral and property rights are respected. REDIP is committed to protecting the intellectual integrity of authors and ensuring that their contributions are duly acknowledged and attributed at all times.

Accusations of Misconduct

The importance of Redip adhering to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding Accusations of Misconduct is crucial to preserve the integrity and reputation of the journal as a reliable and ethical medium for disseminating scientific knowledge. By following these guidelines, REDIP commits to maintaining high ethical standards at all stages of the editorial process, from manuscript submission to final publication.

First and foremost, adhering to COPE guidelines ensures that articles published in REDIP have undergone rigorous review and evaluation by experts in the academic field. This integrity-driven approach strengthens the journal's relationship with the academic community, demonstrating its commitment to ethical standards and respect for the fundamental principles of research.

Lastly, following COPE guidelines regarding Accusations of Misconduct promotes a culture of shared responsibility in the scientific community. By encouraging early detection and correction of potential ethical issues, Redip contributes to improving the quality of research and preventing the spread of misinformation or unreliable information. This benefits not only the journal itself but also enriches the academic field by promoting honesty, transparency, and scientific rigor in all publications.

Claims Handling Process

The Editor and Editorial Committee of Redip consistently uphold compliance with COPE guidelines, to which the journal is committed. In cases where situations requiring special attention or resolution arise, the editorial team has the option to consult specialists or experts to address any issues appropriately and ethically.

Additionally, Redip establishes a policy of openness and transparency to receive and handle any complaints or claims from readers, authors, or reviewers. For this purpose, the following contact email is made available: redip@iesip.edu.ve. Authorship Criteria

For Redip, following the Authorship Criteria according to COPE guidelines is of vital importance to ensure integrity and ethics in article publication. The author of an article must take intellectual responsibility for the research results, and in the journal, the main author and primary progenitor of the work are defined, presumed to have conducted most or all of the research. The order of authors is based on their contributions, with the first author recognized as the principal contributor.

Each author must have made a significant contribution that generates new information, i.e., an original scientific article. The author sequence should be unanimously decided before starting the research, allowing adjustments if necessary but avoiding leaving authorship issues until the end of the process, thus ensuring proper credit attribution and avoiding conflicts. This practice strengthens the transparency and quality of content published in Redip.

Copyright

Redip adheres to the international Open Access policy by offering its content without restrictions. Articles can be used for non-commercial purposes as long as their authors are acknowledged. The journal operates under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License, visible in each published document. Under this license, copying, using, disseminating, and publicly transmitting the content is allowed, as long as the author and original source are cited, it is not used for commercial purposes, and the existence and specifications of the usage license are mentioned. This promotes knowledge dissemination and supports transparency in information access.
